After the stories, they watched a little "music" video about Spring! Apparently, not really knowing what they would be doing at the Library, MeeMaw & Papaw had told Izzy she could get check-out some books. So once the story time was over, she chose three books to bring home. Now, you all know Izzy is CRAZY over books, I always say if the child didn't have one toy, but all her books, I don't think she would mind one bit! So, in the Library, she was in her on little corner of Heaven! Picking only three books was quite the difficult task, but she managed to accomplish it with two books about ducks and one about Miss. Spider's Sunny Patch Farm. Those books have been everywhere with her the last few days and I'm sure we'll be finding a few more when we return these...very soon! :)

Izzy's 1st Trip to the Library!
This past Wednesday (March 30th-KBQ's bday) Izzy & I went to the Library with her Pre-K class! They listened to the Librarian read a couple of stories and then she told two stories using the felt board...I LOVED THIS PART! It reminded me so much of when I was around Izzy's age and in Sunday School Class with "Miss" Margaret, my pastor's wife. She always told the BEST "stories"/Sunday School Lessons, using the felt board! This summer will mark the 10 year anniversary of her passing, I wish so badly that Izzy could have met her. I'm sure she would love her as much as I do, such a special, special person to me. I can only wish & hope that Izzy will have someone that wonderful in her life...

Water Baby!
Izzy loves the water! Always has, but now she even lays back in the tub and "floats"! She loves bubbles, tablets that turn water colors, body bath paints and bath crayons. Last summer, she had private swim lessons with "Her Boy, Ben" and afterward, she and I would swim around & practice. Last week, I took her swimming for the first time since September and she remembered everything she learned! She even asked if Ben was coming! I was shocked, happy and proud! We even stayed in the deep end the majority of the time (with a swim belt on, of course), but she was very independent of me! She wanted to jump in, had me push her under several times and she didn't swallow any water! I'm so glad she loves the water as much as her Mommy does! I may have a little swimmer on my hands! :)
Future Stylist Hard at Work!
Again, a late posting, I didn't realize I had all these pics on my phone! In early October, Izzy and I visited Felix at RCC's Cosmetology School for me a trim & color! Fortunately, the girls there & of course, Felix, were quite willing to entertain Izzy while my color was setting! Actually, it appears that Izzy was entertaining them...either way it was a great day and lots of fun! :)

Whoops! Even Later: Halloween Party!
Frankenstein straws, always a good thing when drinking orange punch! ;)
Better LATE than NEVER!
Forgot I had these on my phone! Moms, enjoy the days of immobility and placing your children where you want them for pictures! Age three hit and for Izzy, independence & mind of her owness took over, especially when it comes to picture taking! We can't get the child to look & focus to save our lives! *Sigh* However, judging by her Pre-K class, that seems to be quite the trend among three year-olds! Here are a few from her Thanksgiving class party!

Playdoh Fun Night!!
Last night, Izzy and I watched the new Scooby Doo Movie "Camp Scare" and played Playdoh for a full hour and a half!! This was after we had played with her baby dolls (feeding them, doctoring them and putting them to bed) for an hour and reading books for an hour! While I know that this may seem like an ordinary day for most mommies, it is not for me. Just Mommy & Izzy time is few and far between, not to mention when it is just the two of us that I'm actually able to play and not cleaning, cooking, doing laundry or catching-up on work! I was in absolute HEAVEN! This was the second Saturday in a row that we were able to play & cuddle! Did I mention we also napped in the afternoon? Well, Izzy napped, I laid there and listened to her cough, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in this whole world! GREAT DAY!! :)

New Year's Eve with the Poole-Lanes!
We spent New Year's Eve with the Poole & Lane Families, making our own pizzas!! Izzy, of course, got to go first with a little help from Frissen! With the VERY independent stage she's in, Izzy LOVED making her own food! She thought she was quite the lil stuff!! They were delicious, to say the very least, and we greatly enjoyed our fun holiday visit!! :)
