Izzy is in this REALLY great stage where getting her to look at the camera is like pulling teeth! Agghh! I did, finally, get a few good pics of her in front of the tree in her Christmas dress! :)

White Christmas Fun!
Christmas 2010!
Best Christmas EVER!!! :) We had our usual Christmas Eve dinner with the Maness family, which was extremely yummy and delicious, with equally wonderful gifts & fun times! Then, we traveled to Aunt Cindy's house for supper and Fletcher family togetherness! Next, we went to Ya Ya & Mike's house with Allison to open our gifts with them. Santa, of course, came that night, Mee-Maw & Paw-Paw spent the night and Mar Mar & K.K. came the next morning to open presents & see what Santa brought Izzy. We had Mee-Maw's delicious breakfast quiche...yum! Ya Ya & Mike came by for a bit before we headed to Pap & Nanny's for Christmas dinner & Fleming family fun! Once back home, we were exhausted! Izzy went straight to bed and I did manage to get all the toys put on the hearth and out of the floor, but that's about as much as I could do that night! Clark and I watched Christmas movies and laid on the couch to recover from the fun, but hectic, last two days!

Our Lil Singing Sesnsation!
Izzy currently LOVES to sing and for a 3 year-old, has quite the memory! She can sing almost every Disney Princess Song, Scooby Doo, Cailou, Jesus Loves Me, ABC's, John Jacob Jingle-Heymer Schmidt & other Silly Songs & Nursery Rhymes, many lullabies, as well as, songs she has learned at Pre-K. Here are a few I could catch!

Izzy's 1st Day of 3 Year-old Pre-K
Can you believe how much my baby has grown in one year? I CAN'T! On her first day of school last year, Izzy had a "pixie" hairdo of sorts and now look at all these curls! *Sigh* So the first day of three year-old Pre-K, which was Wednesday, September 8th, was great! We were on time and totally prepared! Yeah us! Izzy's teacher is "Miss." Nicole, who is the whole reason we started going to First United Methodist Preschool in the first place (she used to work in the Nursery at the Y in addition to teaching at FUMP). There are eight kids total in her class and the odds are little better this year then last, three boys and five girls (instead of six girls and one boy). We had the option of a three day class this year, but stuck with just two days, especially since she had literally just turned 3 years-old the week before. There are two little girls in her class from last year, which is wonderful! Gives her a little sense of familiarity, everyone else is new :) The other kids from the 2's are in the 3 day class. She still asks about her old friends and sees some of them at the Y. This month they've been learning nursery rhymes...so far her favorite seems to be The Gingerbread Man. However, she tends to get it mixed-up with The Three Little Pigs. For instance, she'll say, "Mommy, run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man." Followed by, "But I'm the Big Bad Wolf and I'll huff & puff and blow your house down!" Very cute! So far Izzy is really loving school, Miss. Nicole and all her new & some of her old friends! I can't wait to see what the rest of this school year holds for my growing girl!

Kitchen Reno Round 6
Countertops, Sink & Track Light:
So...the countertops could not have gone in any easier! In fact, Clark and I did it all by ourselves! Ummm....the sink on the other hand was a whole other story. Izzy and I went in the bedroom and watched Scooby Doo till it was safe to come back out. Daddy was not a happy camper! BUT, it's in now and it's B-E-A-UTIFUL, as are the countertops! We were still a little nervous about our decision to go with the laminate instead of the granite, but when we unloaded them, those doubts were totally erased. They are gorgeous and I'm so glad we did not spend the extra $500 to have them installed! The track light is smaller then what we expected, but I love the style and it doesn't distract from the other lights, more importantly it doesn't pose the question: why are there 4 lights in a hundred square foot space (like the old ones did)? We still need to paint the ceiling where the old fluorescent light was, that should be another adventure matching paint for that :/ I also caught Clarky in a slightly compromising position, but hard at work :)
