Snow Day 2010!

Ummm...so yea, we take 1/2 hour to get ready...snow boots, hats, socks, fleeces, gloves, coats, all the necessities. Camera in hand we head outside to play and Izzy...hates it! She started crying and was saying, "I wanna go back in my house." So after Clark picks her up and carries her into the yard...she still hates it! Well being the ingenious mommy that I am I squat down, make a makeshift snowball (the snows so powdery it doesn't want to stick) and throw it at Clark, and Izzy...LOVES IT! She thinks it's so funny and so she and Daddy start throwing snow"balls" (more like piles) at Mommy. Of course I was so far away I was safe, but I was able to snap a few pics before my camera went crazy.

Too Funny!

Just your average, ordinary night at the "F" house!
Sorry it's sideways, I recorded it in portrait and don't know how to change it or don't have the software to change it. You'll get the jest and it's still funny!

No More Dish-Pan Hands!

Actually, Clark has been doing most of the washing of the dishes since our dishwasher broke a couple of months ago (but I've been doing my fair share and I've been putting most of them away). Those days will be no longer come tomorrow (well, we'll still have to put them away-but no more washing) This past weekend Sears had 20% of all their Kenmore appliances and then Sunday night from 6-9pm they had Friends & Family specials, which gave an additional discount of 10% on appliances! The best part is, I didn't even have to leave my house or get out of my pj's (which I don't usually do on Sundays anyway if I can help it), we got all the discounts ordering it online and we chose to pick it up at our local store, so there were no shipping charges. We got a $700 dishwasher for $500! Also, since most of our own friends and family knew about our plight, we were given some money and gift cards towards purchasing it and with some money we had saved, we were able to do so out-right; NO CREDIT CARDS or LAYAWAY! Yeah! We did not get stainless steel as most are doing now, we got Bisque and once we get our tax return, hopefully we will have enough to buy the matching fridge, stove and over-the-range microwave, as well as, new counter-top, sink and faucet. I felt like stainless steel would be too hard to keep clean with a toddler (and hopefully one day another little one) running around and it doesn't really go with the rest of our house. I'm a wrought-iron, bronze, warm colors kind of girl and more importantly, we are able to get top of the line bisque appliances for what we would pay for low quality stainless. The only thing I wanted differently, was I didn't want the controls to show, but I wasn't willing to pay $400 more for it or pay for a lesser quality appliance just for that feature. We couldn't be happier with our choice! Here's a pic of our new addition:
